Platform Overview & Legacy
The Makasi continues the legacy of the "Right Arm of the Free World," crafted for the first time with American ingenuity. It marries the functional aesthetic of the FAL with familiar AR-style controls. Features a short-stroke gas piston, bufferless recoil system, non-reciprocating side-charging handle, and a robust paratrooper-style side-folding stock supported by a two-screw mounting system that allows firing in both folded and deployed positions.
Fundamental Gun Safety
- ALWAYS keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.
- ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
- ALWAYS keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.
- Use ONLY clean, dry, original high-quality commercially manufactured ammunition in good condition. Hand-loaded or re-manufactured ammunition voids factory warranty.
Field Stripping & Disassembly
1. Clear Firearm: Ensure firearm is completely unloaded.
2. Folding Stock: Holding thumb at end of receiver, push up and swing to collapse stock.
3. Take Down Lever: Push up on Takedown lever with thumb and pull down on upper to break open.
4. Return Spring Pin: Press return spring retainer pin DOWN and turn 90° to disengage.
Gas System Settings
The Makasi short-stroke gas block features dual selector settings:
• Unsuppressed Position: Factory tuned for unsuppressed firing with standard commercial ammunition loads.
• Suppressed Position: Restricts gas volume to manage over-gassing and excess backpressure when operating with a suppressor installed.
